ONION AND GINGER

They are both anti-inflammatory. They both work as dual inhibitors.

Internally and externally, ginger has the added benefit of being warming. It stimulates circulation and in conditions of oedema will assist in bringing down the swelling.

Both onion and ginger can be added to your horse’s feed. Onions can be added by zizzing up in a food processor with cider vinegar. Use an onion a day appropriate to the size of your horse. ie large horse: large onion, small horse: small onion. Split between feeds.

Ginger powder can be sprinkled directly into the feed at a rate of about 1-4 teaspoons depending on the size and tolerance of the horse. Some horses may need smaller doses to get them used to both ginger and onion.
